Octopus Head Salad
I found tako-chan's head!
Whether at restaurants or grocery stores, you can rarely find octopus head. I think it's because many (American) people are too scared of it?
But the other day, I found the already cleaned and boiled octopus head at Marukai in Gardena. It was only $1.60 for the whole head...I couldn't believe it.
So, I made the salad with the octopus head, heirloom cherry tomatoes, okra, chick peas, ogo seaweed, red onion, and my homemade sesame sauce.
The octopus had the nice dense but tender texture and tasted really nice.
