The day after we returned to Urawa from Seoul trip, we already had to pack again for another trip. We left for Niigata Prefecture for a 3-day trip with the family. My brother-in-law, Noboru lives in Niigata City, so we were going to meet him there.

Niigata Prefecture is situated by the Sea of Japan in Northern Honshu Island. To get to Niigata City (capitol city of Niigata Prefecture), it takes about 2 hours by Shinkansen from Tokyo. We bought a bunch of obento (lunch boxes) and sake to enjoy in the train.

As the train got closer to Niigata City, everything we saw was the snowy view. Noboru came to pick us up at Niigata Station and the car left for Senami.

The snow storm was quite strong all the way to Senami. Here's the view of Sea of Japan.
