Trip to Seoul (Winter 2009)…Best Dolsot Bibimbap
Our 3rd day in Seoul was even colder. It marked the coldest day of the year so far in Seoul. Our appetite was becoming even bigger.
Today’s brunch was “dolsot bibimbap” (mixed rice in the sizzling stone pot). We found this restaurant (全州中央会館…I don’t know the English writing for this place), where dolsot bibimbap was originated three generations ago.
As the sizzling bibimbap bowls arrived to our table, it smelled so wonderful. We mixed the rice and ingredients quickly and also pressed the rice to the bowl, so that the rice can get the nice crusty texture. The flavor was so delicious, and again, it was so good that it made me feel like I had the bibimbap for the first time.
I’d definitely love to come back here again next time.
