Under -10C degrees weather (about 14F degrees), we explored more of Seoul by foot and subway in the afternoon.
I love this city more and more. The market in Dondaemun was definitely so interesting!
It was already our final evening in this trip. There are still so many different restaurants/ foods I want to try, but we decided to go check out this popular restaurant, Onedang (in Myeongdong) which specializes in "Gamjatang" (spicy bone-in pork with potato hot pot).
Simple "Pajeon" (scallion pancake) was nicely rustic.
Our Gamjatang pot (small size) arrived as soon as we ordered. Because it's called Gamja "tang", it actually considered to be a "soup" dish rather than "hot pot". All the ingredients were set in the pot and ready to be cooked. The pork was braised in advance for hours, so the meat was so tender and the broth was so deep. The potatoes soaked up all the flavors of the rich broth. It was quite hot and spicy.
After we are done with the hot pot, we asked for the rice. She brought the rice topped with vegetables and fish roe toppings and started making the fried rice in the same pot.
Everything was so delicious, and my body was so happily hot after the dinner. What a wonderful night.
