Trip to Seoul (Winter 2009)…Samgyetang Lunch
Good morning, Seoul.
This is the view from my hotel room. Just by looking, I could tell outside was so freezing cold.
The cold weather definitely makes me crave for the hot soupy dish. We walked to a popular “Samgyetang” (ginseng chicken soup) restaurant in Myeongdong.
The place was crowded with local people. I saw many businessmen, too.
The regular “boys”. They were sitting next to our table. They helped us with the order and also showed us how the locals eat the dish.
My samgyetang arrived. The aroma was so incredible.
Again, it was the best samgyetang dish I’ve ever had! The flavor was so complex. It was so filling but at the same time tasted so healthy. It felt like I can live extra 10 years after eating this dish.
