We arrived in Maui in the late afternoon from Oahu. Our destination was Paia, which is a historic town about 7 miles from Kahului Airport in the North Shore. I have stopped by this cute hippie town on the way to Hana a couple of times before, but this was my first time to actually stay in Paia. Our hotel is a cute villa called, Paia Inn, where our friends' wedding will be held and all the guests for the wedding are going to stay.
On the first night in Paia, we walked down to Cafe Mambo & Picnics for dinner. Paia is a tiny town, but within a couple of blocks, there are many cute restaurants with good reputation.
Jason and I shared Duck Fajitas and the Concha Chicken. Duck was very rich and sweet. Concha chicken was simmered with dry fruits, cinnamon, honey and white wine. It was nice with cous cous. One of our friends had their duck burger and it looked good, too.
After dinner, we walked back to the hotel and drank more wine.
