Rustic dinners in NYC

I've been way too busy past week in New York and even after I came back to LA late Friday night. I realized that I haven't updated my blog for over a week!

So, here are some dinner pics from the first few nights in NYC...the dinner highlights are yet to come.

Business banquet at Szechuan Gourmet...with about 50 Japanese people. We had so many different dishes.

Dinner at Soba Totto was just like dining at a Izakaya in Tokyo. They do very good yakitori (skewered chicken, grilled over binchotan charcoal) as well as hand-made soba. Loved grilled skewered quail eggs.

Another Japanese...at Tukushi in Midtown West. Majority of the customers here are normally all regular people. Very homey rustic Japanese food and nice sake list. We enjoyed Ichishima Shuzo (from Niigata) lineup. The "shime" course nyumen (somen noodles in hot broth) was good.

Hope I can update pictures from the rest of my New York nights soon.
