(Day 8)
After Pira, we walked back to our hotel, Brezza, and had lunch there. Brezza is a family-owned historic estate, and they also run a winery.
The hotel/ restaurant is very old and very pretty. The view from the estate is also gorgeous.
We had 2010 Brezza, Langhe, Chardonnay…yes, one of their estate wines. Antipasti…salami from Langhe, followed by vitello tonnato alla vecchia maniera (veal with tuna sauce). Both very traditional.
Another traditional dish…agnolotti al plin (tiny ravioli, filled with pork, tossed in butter & sage).
I was so craving for vegetables, but this was pretty much a typical meal in the region. In any case, they were tasty dishes.
