In the late afternoon, after the heirloom tomato festival at Windrose Farm, we drove over to Templeton area of Paso Robles to Venteux Vineyards.
We were going to stay two nights in their red barn house in the winery. Venteux Vineyards is a family-owned winery and they specialize in making Rhone-style wines.
This is our red barn house! It's big and so cute. The rooms were very cute, too. There was a bottle of Venteux Vineyards Grenache waiting for us in the room. The view from the balcony was great, too. We could see the estate vineyards, planted with new vines.
For dinner, we drove to Paso Robles Downtown. We had nice vegetarian dishes at Thomas Hill Organics Market & Bistro in their patio. The dishes, made from local organic ingredients were really nice with the local wine...2009 Alta Colina GSM.
After we got back to our farm house, we had more wine in the balcony. It was so quiet and the sky was packed with stars. We were the only people in the huge land at night. Priceless experience. We saw many shooting starts.
