This is our 3rd time to come to the beautiful coast of Yucatan Peninsula (and my 4th time to Mexico, including Los Cabos) in just past one year, since we love here so much. Last times were in Riviera Maya, and this time, we chose to come down even further south to Tulum. To get to Tulum from LA, we took a direct flight to Cancun, then it was about 85 minutes south by shuttle. Yes, it's another paradise.
Here are just some of the photos from first couple of days...
First night was at a open-air restaurant on the beach in our resort. Mexican appetizer and steak with red wine made a nice start.
Very relaxing all day long.
Very Yucatan-style lunch...seviche, shrimp tacos, and pan-fried grouper. Fantastic.
On the 2nd night, we did Mexican-style sushi. It was almost entirely so far from Japanese sushi, but we were happy with the quality of the seafood. On the same night, we hit another restaurant for Mexican dishes. We just wanted to keep eating.
Our hotel's bartenders make really nice Margarita. I love my Margarita with tequila reposado with very little sweetness.
Loving Tulum.
